Sustained Investigation Series
My sustained investigation was the 7 deadly sins as abstract portraits. I wanted to explore how people today can relate to these sins and show how it's normal to have these feelings. My biggest challenge was finding creative ways to explain the concept of each artwork without it being cheesy or too obvious. I think my aha moment was when I created my first piece from the collection, the collage with three different girls. That is what inspired me and gave me these new ideas. I have grown as an artist by exploring with new materials that I have never used or had much experience with and challenged myself to create interesting compositions to catch the viewers' eye.
