Sustained Investigation Series
Throughout my investigation, I continually asked myself, “how can I convey the concept of transparency by shining light through glass objects?”. When I was younger, I had a fascination with transparent objects because of the way light could shine through it to make interesting highlights. I became interested in this idea when I was required to do a still life with glass objects for a project and really enjoyed the final product.

“Black Cat” | 7” x 7” | Acrylic paint I made this painting inspired by a photo I took of my cat. I started by painting the shape of him with black paint. Then, I layered on white and grey brushstrokes to create the texture of his fur. The last thing I did was adding black to the corners that gradated to white to make him stand out.
