Sustained Investigation Series
The main question for my sustained investigation was: How can I show the different ways people cope with grief through symbolism, painting techniques, and design? I chose to paint the character in black and white to create more emphasis and show she is the person affected. I chose to use a  more stylistic approach and to exaggerate facial features, but focus on line work creating the facial features.  I made the background color filled and showcased what was going on in her mind.
