Sustained Investigation Series
The drawings and painting that you will see are inspired by Stephan King movies
All the movies that I chose to represent are:
-IT
-The Green Mile
-Thinner
-Silver Bullet
-The Shining
-Cujo
- Pet Cemetery
For these drawings and paintings I wanted to put a fun and creative spin on the scary characters that you see in the movies. For the movie "The Shining" I drew the twin girls as two siamese cats in the outfits that the little girls wore in the movie. For the movie "IT" I decided to find an animal that reminded me of the character, so I chose a hyena with a red ballon. Some of my biggest challenges that I faced during the investigation was trying to make sure my drawings and paintings lined up with what my sustained investigation was saying. Overall as an artist I believe that I have grown a lot, I have been able to practice in different mediums and I have found out what I like to create. I believe my art has grown a lot as well, I think that there is a lot more meaning behind the things that I draw, and I think my drawing ability has gotten a lot better too.

“Sustained # 2” | 9” x 6” | Charcoal pencil and soft pastel | The inspiration came from the Stephan King movie “Green Mile”.
“Sustained # 3” | 8” x 9” | Colored pencil | The inspiration for this sustained came from the Stephan King movie “CUJO”. I wanted to show the intensity of the movie through the dog’s eyes, and through the colors that I used.
“Sustained # 4” | 9” x 7” | Colored pencil | I wanted to show another side of the Stephan King movie “Cujo”. I wanted to show a less scary side of the dog and a more vibrant foreground.
“Sustained # 5” | 12” x 9” | Colored pencil | This image was inspired by the Stephan King movie "The Shining". I wanted to do more of a room or building drawing.
“Sustained # 6” | 10” x 10” | Acrylic and flow acrylic on canvas | This painting was inspired by the movie “Thinner”. I wanted to create a person that looked like they were ill.
