“Baker Beach” | 10” x 20” | Oil paint, gel pen, gel medium, sand on canvas | This is one of a few artworks that was inspired by a visit to San Francisco. This piece specifically is a representation of Baker Beach, and my intent was to use different media to portray and exaggerate textures in this landscape.
"Skyscraper” | 11.5” x 9” | Colored pencil | The original reference photo for this artwork was taken in Manhattan. Colored pencil allowed me to create the linear patterns I needed and also allowed me to blend and layer color and create reflections.
"Almost Rainbow Row" | 10” x 20” | Oil on canvas | My goal with this artwork was to mimic the traditional portrayals of homes in Charleston that are already familiar, (Like artworks of "Rainbow Row"). Although this is not rainbow row but a regular row of homes, my favorite part about this piece is the use of color.
"Chrysler" | 8.5” x 9” | Oil pastel | I have always loved the unique style of the Chrysler building. I like that I was able to portray the geometric patterns and shapes using layering and etching.

"Home for a Minimalist" | 9” x 11” | Colored pencil | I was inspired by modern box architecture and I wanted to create my own model of a boxed house.
"Golden" | 16” x 24” | Oil on Canvas | I wanted to incorporate the iconic architecture of the Golden Gate Bridge into my investigation. I had to layer many different pastels in order to achieve the color and smooth texture of the structure.
"Beach House" | 7.5” x 9” | Oil pastel | I wanted to incorporate my love for the beach in my investigation. I wanted to explore the unique shape and style found in beach houses.
